Further Details / Source(s): Grampians (Gariwerd) National Parks – Northern Walks (brochure available from Halls Gap Visitor Information Centre – $3.30). No specific information on this walk is available from Parks Victoria or DSE.
Getting There: It’s taken me so long to put this walk on the blog that my directions probably won’t be very helpful. Follow the map on Grampians (Gariwerd) National Parks – Northern Walks brochure and you shouldn’t have any trouble. I do remember that it was signed from the nearest main road.
Comments: If you’re in the area this is another spot that is worth a visit but as you would have probably figured out from the distance, it’s not one to do for the walk (more for the shelter).
Ngamadjidj means white person, referring to the white figures portrayed in the paintings. As with the majority of the aboriginal rock paintings in this area, the meaning has been lost due to the effects of European Settlement.
