Getting There: Access is via Yarra Bend Road, Fairfield, (Melways Ref: 30 H12) which is off Heidelberg Road. Find a park near the end of the road, after it becomes a one-way loop.

Comments:This was the only suggested walk from the Park Note (Yarra Bend Park – Walking Trails) that looked any good so I decided to give it a go, despite it being the shortest one. It turned out to be a very nice bushy spot.

Start at Kanes Bridge and turn left immediately after crossing (there will be a sign to the Bushland Circuit Trail). The track is very easy to follow from here. A few smaller tracks meet the main track so I spent a bit of time exploring them and still made it back to the car within 25 minutes.

There were a lot of other walkers and people having picnics along the track. Boats are available for hire nearby so the river was full of people in boats. All this makes it a much less peaceful place. I’d probably only do this walk again if I happened to be in the area.
